SWING 39 is a jazz trio composed of bass, violin, and
guitar evoking the spirit of swing as performed by gypsy
guitarist D'jango Reinhardt and violinist Stephane Grapelli.
This sound became known as "hot club" jazz, referring to
the Hot Club of Paris where D'jango and Grapelli frequently
played. Swing 39 plays the original compositions of D'jango and
popular tunes by composers such as Cole Porter, Gershwin, and
Ellington using the "hot club" sound as its model. The result is
music that is energetic, sassy, and lots of fun. |

Donnie Loeffler is primarily trained on guitar with

plays electric bass, acoustic bass, drum set, various
percussion, a little bit of keyboards, and sings. He is
available as a side musician or as a leader for almost any type
of gig, can perform solo or with other professional musicians in
duo or group settings. Donnie's group
JazzCrafters
came together while pursuing their passion of performing the
form of music they love...jazz. Through their repertoire,
commonly referred to as "the great American song book", and
their instrumentation, they reflect the traditional sounds of
jazz. They have combined the warm tones of the acoustic bass,
crystal clear melody of the mandolin, the soothing sounds of the
jazz guitar, and light touch of the jazz drum kit. |
