About the Recording Industries
MUSIC PERFORMANCE FUND

2009 marks the RIMPTF’s 62nd year of promoting and sponsoring admission-free public concerts. Since its inception, the RIMPF has spent over $500 Million to present well over one million performances throughout the United States and Canada.

In the fiscal year ending April 30, 2001, over $12 million was expended and 17,000 performances presented in the U.S. and Canada. Since 1948, the RIMPTF has provided in excess of $1.5 Million for musical performances in Louisville alone.

Currently the Fund will provide 25% of the cost of a performance (paid at our lowest scale rate) with the co-sponsor organization providing 75%.  Performances held in public schools qualify for 50% funding.

Please use this application to apply for funding and review a list of performances and circumstances for which the RIMPF will not approve funding.  Co-sponsor payment will be requested only after the performance application has been reviewed and approved.

The following credit line must be used in all printed program material, news media releases, and be announced at least once by the leader during the performance:

"The Recording Industries Music Performance Fund, funds in whole or in part the instrumental music for this performance, as arranged by The Louisville Federation of Musicians, Local 11-637."

All requests must be submitted at least 21 days in advance of the performance date to permit time to review and process the application. Payment, by check, for the performance will be requested when the performance has been approved.
